Vacri will install new storm catch basins in Seneca Street on Monday, 6/2 and Tuesday, 6/3. Sections of the 100 and 200 blocks of E. Seneca Street will be reduced to one parking lane and one travel lane effective 7AM-6PM for both days. All travel lanes will be open during non-work hours.
Vacri will be working just east of Trader K’s. Sidewalk will be narrower but will generally not hinder pedestrian traffic flow.
NYSEG gas will continue installing the new gas main. On Monday, this work will start near Casablanca and move east.
Power & Construction Group will have two crews installing the new electrical conduit on the south side of the 200 block of E State Street, near Home Green Home and Finger Lakes Running Store and move east.
Both NYSEG gas and Power & Construction Group will be working outside the construction fence. Temporary orange fencing will be used to define the work area and separate pedestrians from the work site. The sidewalk will be narrower but will generally not hinder pedestrian traffic flow.
Verizon will be working in Bank Alley extending into the Tioga & State Street sidewalk intersection. This sidewalk intersection will be closed on Monday and Tuesday. When entering the Commons from Seneca St and heading west toward Cayuga St and Green St, walk on the Tompkins Trust Company and M & T Bank side of Bank Alley; heading east toward Aurora St, walk on the Chemung Canal Trust side of Bank Alley.
