On Friday, 5/15/2015, the circle is mostly complete. 2015-05-15 10.06The trolley tracks will be etched in the granite pavers in the middle and the landmark locations that were in the original trolley circle, such as, Fall Creek, Titus Towers, Buttermilk Falls, etc., will be etched in the pavers that surround the trolley tracks.

The granite pavers that create the circle are 6″ x 12″ and  the granite pavers in the middle are 8″x 18” and weigh about 45 lbs each.

On Monday, 5/18, the contractor will resume the installation of the Trolley Circle pavers working directly in front of Center Ithaca from 15 Steps to the entrance of Center Ithaca. Access to Center Ithaca and 15 Steps will be from the back entrance of Center Ithaca and from the Visitor Center and Alphabet Soup during business hours. Once Trolley Circle is complete the paving program will continue west of Trolley Circle starting on the north side in front of American Crafts.
